March 8, 2025 | 10:00am-2:00pm ET | International Women’s Day

The National Caucus of Women Leaders (NCWL) is comprised of First Nations women leaders, including Chiefs, Councilors, Tribal Chiefs, Grand Chiefs, and Headpersons across Canada. The objective of the NCWL project, which is funded by Women and Gender Equality (WAGE), is to increase the number of elected women leaders across Canada through the development of a NCWL.

This Virtual Meeting is meant to empower and support aspiring women leaders by providing a report back on Regional Initiatives, provide an overview of First Nations Gender Based Analysis Plus (FN GBA+) principles, and provide an update of the mentorship program for aspiring and newly elected First Nations women leaders.

The meeting on March 8, 2025 will include opening remarks from the NCWL Co-Chairs Grand Chief Savanna Mcgregor and Chief Joanne Miles

The meeting will then be followed by project overviews presented by the AFN Justice Sector and Regional Coordinators.
