National Chief Appears Before Senate Committee on Bill S-2 and Meets with Minister of Finance, François-Philippe Champagne

(October 1 – Unceded Algonquin Territory, Ottawa) – National Chief Cindy Woodhouse Nepinak will appear before the Senate Committee today, October 1, to testify as part of a panel on Bill S-2, An Act to amend the Indian Act.

While in Ottawa this week, National Chief will be meeting with Parliamentarians regarding the upcoming budget and status of First Nations clean water legislation promised by the government this fall. These discussions will include the Minister of Finance and Leader of the Opposition.
