About the Event AFN Regional Engagement Sessions on the Pay Equity Act

The Assembly of First Nations (AFN) will be hosting in-person regional engagement sessions on the Pay Equity Act. These sessions will provide an opportunity for First Nations leadership and technicians to share information, views, and activities on the Pay Equity Act.

The AFN is guided by AFN Resolution #74/2023, Wage Parity for First Nations, which directs the AFN to identify and implement means for increasing First Nations access to funding and supports for human resource recruiting, training, equitable compensation, and retention.

The AFN invites First Nations Chiefs, human resource managers, and representatives to attend regional engagement sessions to provide First Nations input into Canada’s implementation of the Pay Equity Act.
