AFN Chiefs Committee on Charter Renewal Press Conference for Release of “Making Us Stronger: AFN Charter Renewal 2023” Report and Recommendations

Halifax, Nova Scotia – The Assembly of First Nations (AFN) Chiefs Committee on Charter Renewal will hold a press conference to unveil recommendations on the renewal and restructuring of the Assembly of First Nations.
Mandated in 2017, 2019, and 2022, the Chiefs Committee on Charter Renewal has completed a significant body of work and will release its highly anticipated report titled “Making Us Stronger: AFN Charter Renewal 2023” on July 11th, 2023, and present its report to the First Nations in Assembly.
The report outlines twelve comprehensive recommendations for the renewal and restructuring of the Assembly of First Nations, aiming to strengthen its role in advocating for the rights and interests of First Nations peoples across Canada.
