Assembly of First Nations (AFN) Hosts 3rd National Climate Gathering to Advance First Nations Climate Strategy

(October 8, 2024 – Treaty No. 7 Territory, Calgary, Alberta) – The Assembly of First Nations (AFN) is hosting its 3rd National Climate Gathering from October 8-10, 2024, on Treaty No. 7 Territory, in Calgary, Alberta, bringing together over 1,000 delegates including First Nations leaders, Knowledge Keepers, youth, women, and climate advocates to advance the AFN National Climate Strategy.

The gathering focuses on advancing the AFN National Climate Strategy and showcasing First Nations’ approaches to climate action and conservation, and will include diverse panel presentations, workshops, and networking sessions that highlight the implementation of the AFN National Climate Strategy and the First Nations Climate Lens. Additionally, a trade show with over 30 exhibitors and artisans will take place at the venue.
