To conduct parliamentary advocacy and make interventions throughout the Parliamentary sessions

Our Work The Assembly of First Nations (AFN) continues to conduct parliamentary advocacy and make interventions throughout the Parliamentary sessions

Canada’s 45th Parliament has introduced a series of bills and convened a wide range of studies that impact First Nations. Here you will find an overview of ongoing legislation and what it means for First Nations communities.

We urge all First Nations to share their views with Members of Parliament and Senators on legislation that affects them. You can:

Contact Your Member of Parliament

Reach out to your local Member of Parliament to share your views on Bill C-5 and the proposed Building Canada Act. Clearly explain your position and recommendations in your letter or email.

Contact Senators

You can also write to some or all Senators, especially those from your province or territory, to share your position and recommendations about Bill C-5.
